COSTA have applied to build a drive-thru coffee shop beside London Road near junction 2A of the M74.
If approved it would be part of the redevelopment of land for Glasgow’s first Sofology furniture store.
Permission has already been given for demolition of buildings at the site.
The Costa outlet would be open 24 hours a day.
Access would be via a new entrance off Fullarton Lane.
There would be 28 parking spaces.
The application is pending consideration by Glasgow City planners.
