PLANNERS have given the go-ahead for a 300-bed hotel at a high-profile Glasgow City Centre site.
The development is at the corner of Renfrew Street and Renfield Street, on part of the old STV studios site, beside the Citizen M hotel.
The four-star hotel will be operated by Dalata, Ireland’s largest hotel operator, under their Maldron brand.
It will have a bar/restaurant and business facilities.
Plans for a 450-bed student residential building beside the hotel were withdrawn following concerns over parking and residential amenity.
