PLANS are being drawn up for a major residential development in the east Glasgow area of Springboig.

Swan Group and Keepmoat Homes are preparing a planning application for 101 properties at 1212 Edinburgh Road.

The land was previously used as a training facility and is next to the cleared site of the former Springboig St John’s School.

A document submitted to the City Council by planning consultants Iceni as part of pre-application procedures states: “At this stage, it is proposed that the development will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses with associated resident and visitor parking.”
