13 April, 2018 | News, Food and Drink

BURGER King and Starbucks are lined up for drive-through developments at a Glasgow retail park.

Planning permission has been given for separate restaurant and coffee shop buildings at Forge Retail Park in the East End.

The drive-through facilities will be built on areas of the car park near the front entrance.

The Burger King restaurant will be built on the right and the Starbucks on the left, when entering off Gallowgate.

A document submitted by agents for the applicant, Forge Retail Park Unit Trust, stated: “The proposal is not speculative and will be occupied by Burger King and Starbucks.”

It continued: “The design of the proposed restaurant and coffee shop is modern and complements the existing retail development.”

There are already Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants at the retail park and a McDonald’s at the nearby Forge Shopping Centre.
