CITY Centre Apartments Conversion And Roof Extension Plan Submitted

5 May, 2020 | News, Residential

FLATS are being proposed for empty floors above a KFC restaurant in central Glasgow.

A roof extension is also part of the plan for 106 Renfield Street.

Nine two-bedroom flats would be created in the vacant second and third floors and the new roof accommodation.

A design statement included with an application to Glasgow City Council explains: “Access is provided to the upper levels from Sauchiehall Lane which will receive improvements to become a welcoming entrance to the flats.

“The stair will then be extended vertically to a new roof extension with a simple form in keeping with adjacent context.”

The application is pending assessment by city planners.
