COMMUNITY School Campus Ready To Open Its Doors At Sighthill

STAFF and pupils are due to move into the new Sighthill Community School Campus at the end of the month.

An open day to allow the public to tour the facility takes place on Friday (15 November) 1 to 7pm (access via Fountainwell Drive).

The Glasgow City Council complex will house St Kevin’s ASL (additional support for learning) Primary School, St Stephen’s Primary School and Sighthill Nursery. There is also a youth facility.

Accommodation includes 14 mainstream classrooms, eight specialist teaching spaces, six nursery classrooms, a hall for gym, assembly and dining plus drama space, shared library / community room, a nurture room and administrative and office spaces.

Land has been has been left to allow an extension of up to four classrooms if needed in future.

There is also a floodlit all-weather sports pitch.

The campus is part of the ÂŁ250million transformation of Sighthill.

The new Riverbank Primary opened in Dalmarnock earlier this year and a new school is being built in Maryhill.
