19 October, 2018 | News

PLANNERS have agreed that empty shops on a major Glasgow East End street can be turned into a restaurant and a hot food takeaway.

Separate applications for premises in Duke Street have been approved.

The restaurant will be in a unit on the corner with Glendale Street, pictured.

Plans show seating for up to 60 people. It will include hot food takeaway and will be open from 7am to 11pm, seven days.

Meanwhile permission has been given for a takeaway in a vacant shop at 963 Duke Street, in a parade of shops between Abernethy Street and Haghill Road.
