EXPANSION Plan Proposed For Glasgow Supermarket

13 April, 2019 | News

SUPERMARKET chain Lidl is planning a major expansion and makeover of its store in the Woodside area of Glasgow.

The company wants to take over two neighbouring shop units, currently occupied by Iceland and Carpet Ways.

The changes would mean the Lidl outlet’s sales area increasing from 877 square metres to 1,415 square metres.

The number of car parking spaces at the site at Hopehill Road at North Woodside Road, near Maryhill Road, would decrease from 152 to 127.

An application seeking permission to alter the building is pending assessment by Glasgow City Council planning officers.
