15 July, 2019 | News, Arts, Leisure, Entertainment and Sport

EMPTY pub and betting shop premises in Glasgow City Centre are being lined up for use as gyms.

Separate applications have been submitted to planners involving two sites.

Ludo’s Primal Wellness want permission to fit out ground floor space at 4A West Regent Street as a fitness facility.

Hours of operation would be 5am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday. The premises were last used as a pub.

Meanwhile a gym is proposed for ground floor accommodation at 89 West Campbell Street, formerly a bookmakers.

Fitness classes would be held throughout the day from 6.30am to early evening.

No details of the operator are given in planning documents.

The proposals are pending assessment by officials.
