FLATS Development Proposed For Ex-Care Home Site Next To Glasgow Park

14 September, 2018 | News

PLANS for 36 flats beside Alexandra Park have been submitted to Glasgow City Council.

The development by Home Group is proposed for the site of the former care home Peter McEachran House at Kennyhill Square, near Cumbernauld Road.

The building would have six floors but be similar in height to neighbouring four-storey tenements.

It would comprise 12 two-apartment, two-person flats, 20 three-apartment, four-person flats and four three-apartment, three-person wheelchair adapted flats.

There would be 36 car parking spaces plus secure bike storage.

Grant/Murray Architects said the brief was to provide “highly-aspirational” homes.

The application is pending assessment by planning officers.
