A CIRCUIT class-based gym has been given permission to open at the revamped former Botanic Gardens Garage.

City planners have agreed that functional training community F45 — which specialises in high-intensity group workouts — can use the basement area of the A-listed building in Vinicombe Street, near Byres Road.

Opening hours will be 6am to 10pm.

A document submitted to the council stated: “The scale and impact of the proposal in long-standing vacant space will not impact the special interest of the building.”

A gym already operates from the first floor of the building.
