HOTEL Plan For Sauchiehall Street’s LIFE Building

14 June, 2018 | News

A PLAN to convert a Glasgow City Centre building that contains the bar/restaurant LIFE and empty offices into a hotel has been submitted to planning officials.

The proposal is to turn Category B-listed Ashfield House in Sauchiehall Street into an 89-bedroom hotel with a bar/restaurant

Plans lodged with the city council show the ground floor, where LIFE is at the moment, would have a cafe area, hotel reception, restaurant, bar and a small stage.

Other ground floor commercial premises in the same building are not affected by the plan.

The hotel would have 392 bed spaces overall.

The application is pending consideration by the city council.
