IN Pictures — City Centre Buildings Cleared For JPMorgan Chase Development

24 October, 2019 | News, In Pictures

CLEARANCE of the site for JPMorgan Chase’s 13-storey office block is well underway.

Two buildings on the corner of Argyle Street and Robertson Street have been largely demolished already, with the B-listed former What Everyone Want premises next to go.

The work has allowed a better view (albeit temporarily) of the Grade-A-listed Campbell building.

Planning permission for the office complex was given to developer Osborne and Co at the end of August.

The development will be a base for the US financial services firm’s technology operations in Glasgow, housing about 2,000 staff who are currently split between two other sites in the city. It is scheduled for completion in 2022.
