IN Pictures — New Flats At Corner Site On Glasgow’s South Side

25 November, 2020 | News, Residential, In Pictures

A DEVELOPMENT of nearly 50 flats for Glasgow Housing Association has been completed at a brownfield site on the northern edge of Govanhill.

The development, designed by DO Architecture, is on land bounded by Inglefield Street, Larkfield Street, Cathcart Road and the Millennium Space community park.

The mid-market rental flats are in two blocks, one of seven floors and the other with four floors. They feature deep, external access balconies.

The site was formerly occupied by Hermon Baptist Church — which burned down in a spectacular blaze in 2001 — and Inglefield Street Women’s Hostel.
