A DEVELOPMENT of more than 100 new houses and flats in Easterhouse has been given the go-ahead by Glasgow City planners.

The site is the former Provanhall Primary School and is bounded by Auchinlea Road, Conisborough Road, Westerhouse Road and Brunstane Road.

The application is for 106 flats and houses for Glasgow Housing Association and Provanhill Housing Association.

They will be a mixture of one, two, three and four-bedroom properties.

A report by city council officials states that the proposal “provides a suitable scale of development, which will result in safe streets and attractive usable spaces, including private gardens and amenity spaces.”
