NEW Flats Can Be Built At Site Beside Govanhill Park

8 June, 2018 | News

GLASGOW City planners have agreed that a commercial building and flats in Govanhill can be knocked down and replaced with a new residential development.

They have granted planning permission in principle for the proposal which relates to the corner of Inglefield Street and Govanhill Street, beside Govanhill Park.

A further application will be needed for any detailed plans for the site, including the number of flats.

The applicant had indicated to the council that 24 flats could be accommodated but officials disagree saying that would be overdevelopment.
