WORK is progressing on a major new retail park on Glasgow’s south side.

The development by Ediston Real Estate and Clydebuilt is on land beside Cathcart Road, Glasgow, between the Gorbals and Govanhill.

It is due for completion in the first quarter of 2020.

More than half of the 125,000-square-feet of commercial space at Crown Street Retail Park has already been let to major stores including Aldi, B&M and Iceland’s Food Warehouse

Also on board are Costa Coffee and Burger King for drive-through outlets.

Permission has been given for one of the units at the site to be a 24-hour gym.
