PERMISSION Given For Almost 100 Houses On Castlemilk Site

A MAJOR development of nearly 100 homes has been approved for Castlemilk.

Glasgow City Council officials have given Cruden Estates permission for 98 houses on vacant land bounded By Ardencraig Terrace, Bogany Terrace and Ardencraig Road.

The properties will be a mixture of detached, semi-detached and terraced homes. Twenty-eight will have two bedrooms and 70 will have three bedrooms.

Each will have a rear garden and a car parking space. There will also be 25 visitor parking spaces in the development.

The 10-acre site previously had flats on it but has been undeveloped for some years.

A document submitted with the application stated: “The proposal is for residential development on a brownfield site that will provide a viable and marketable development in Castlemilk.”
