NEARLY 50 flats are being proposed for a vacant site in Dennistoun.

Stanton Brook Estates have applied to develop land between Birkenshaw Street and Cumbernauld Road.

There would be 48 flats — 10 with one bedroom and 38 with two bedrooms.

A document submitted by Create Architecture on behalf of Stanton Brook Estates states: “The applicant has had a number of high-level discussions with registered housing associations looking to purchase/manage the full development once complete as mid-market rental
affordable housing.”

The proposal is pending assessment by Glasgow City Council planners.
