RESIDENTIAL Development Proposed For Dalmarnock Site

23 May, 2019 | News, Residential

PLANS have been drawn up for 140 homes and a local shop on a prominent site at Dalmarnock.

Keepmoat Homes want to build a mixture of one and two-bedroom flats and two and three-bedroom terraced housing on part of the former Poplin Street gas works.

Pre-application public consultation has started for the Dalmarnock Cross development which would be on land bounded by French Street, Swanston Street and the A728 beside Dalmarnock Station.

The site is split down the middle by a landscaped boulevard which would be kept.

There would be areas of open space, landscaping and seating linking into the central boulevard.

Secure cycle parking and car parking are also proposed. There would be two vehicle access points from French Street

It’s expected that a full planning application will be submitted in July.  If approved, work would start in early 2020 with the first home complete by late autumn 2020.
