A TWO-storey shop extension with cafe is being proposed for a petrol station in Ibrox

The application for the facility at 675 Paisley Road West is  being assessed by Glasgow City planners.

The current shop unit will be expanded towards the pavement with the extension located on the existing internal lane between the site’s two access points.

A document submitted to the city council states: “The increased retail unit, which includes an internal eating area to replace the uncovered outside picnic benches, together with a proposed storage area and reinstated car wash, will have a significant positive economic impact as it will allow locals and other road users to continue spending on goods and services within the local area.”

Opening hours will remain 5.30am to 11pm every day.
