PLANNERS have agreed that a disused Southside pub can be converted into a convenience store.
The plan involves demolishing part of the White Elephant on Merrylee Road, near Clarkston Road, between Muirend and Cathcart, and using the remainder as a shop with a sales area of 267 square metres.
There will be 15 car parking spaces.
A separate planning application to build 12 flats and a convenience store at the site has still to be determined by planning officials.
