SOCIAL Rent Flats Development Approved For Bridgeton

25 September, 2019 | Residential

THENUE Housing Association has been given permission for 27 flats on the site of a former East End care home.

Glasgow City planners have approved the development at Landressy Place, where Carmichael House was located, in Bridgeton.

The three-storey building will contain a mixture of two, three and four-person flats for social rent.

A document included with the application stated: “The proposals include a large common garden for residents to enjoy which aims to promote well-being for residents over the age of 55 years old.

“Health issues such as dementia, depression and lack of physical exercise are common in this age group -– this space aims to combat some of these issues in addition to the benefits of having Glasgow Green on the doorstep.”
