A RESTAURANTEUR has submitted scaled-back alternative proposals for a back court area in Shawlands.
The application by Domenico Crolla for land behind 85 Kilmarnock Road involves building a two-storey extension with upper floor terrace to the rear of Oro restaurant, landscaping, and formation of a terrace and community garden.
Drawings in the new proposal show two ‘sustainability’ gardens, one for the restaurant and one for the community.

Planning permission was previously given for a mixed-use development featuring a new-build commercial space housing a retail unit, a coffee shop and a restaurant, and a courtyard.
The vision was to create a South Side equivalent of the West End’s Ashton Lane.
