JAPANESE cuisine ‘performance’ restaurant Benihana looks set to open in Glasgow, its first UK venue outside London.
The US company is lined up to occupy 7 West Nile Street, which has been vacated by Italian restaurant Carluccio’s.
Benihana’s steak and sushi restaurants feature Teppan-yaki dining — chefs combine performance and cooking in front of diners.
An application to put up signage at the city centre premises, at the corner with Drury Street, has been made and is pending assessment by city officials.
